Thing 7 - Google Reader

Ooh! I've been using Google Reader for over a year so I'm excited to see that it made it onto the list of '17 things!' I quickly added my colleagues' blogs to the list even before I knew that this was going to be one of the assignments. In addition to following my fellow 17 Thing-ers, I follow some of my college friends' blogs, a sort of celebrity fashion/gossip blog, and a daily recipe blog. I never considered Google Reader to have any influence on my profession or career but I will definitely add some of those educational news feeds to my list. Thanks!

Thing 6 - Weebly Website

Hooray - I published a website! You can see my website at:

I had fun messing around with the different designs and layouts. What I have up there currently only took a few minutes to set up. I may change the layout later but for now it seems easy to navigate and read. I plan on using it to post announcements and information for my classes.

Thing 4

I added to the 17 Things Google doc. Waiting for Google calendar invite. I've been using Google docs for a few year for personal things. Perhaps SEE Team will introduce it to our students to alleviate the heavy use of paper handouts. Exciting!

Thing 5 - Twitter

Twitter name - 'jwaldock.' Search for me!

Thing 9 -making my blog more snazzy

I added a slide show gadget (still trying to connect it to Flickr...will figure that out soon!), a picture of a zebra, a welcome text box, a list of my current 'must' items that will be updated periodically, and a cloud list of my tags. Fun! My blog looks better already!

Thing 3 - Delicious

I set up a Delicious account. I'm getting WAY too confused with all of the usernames and passwords (I should probably keep them in a notebook) but I think I signed up as jenwaldock. Look for me!

Anyway, the account is set up, I added some of my favorite websites, and added Mrs.Duell to my network. I'll be back later to reflect on the experience.

Thing 2

I am following Alicia, Kellie Dean, Jame Holt, Melissa Gordon, Tim Scanlon, Patty Young, Geoff Geltner, and Dan Mancoff. I hope I can share ideas with my fellow SEE Team teachers and my math department colleagues.

I have 'tagged' blog posts regarding math, travels, 17 Things, and jokes. I haven't posted many entries yet so my list of 'tags' will only increase.
